About

Susannah Sharman trained and worked for Notcutts Garden Centres for about 10 years in all, attending Burlington Horticultural College in Norfolk and Hadlow College in Kent over three years. Working in all areas in the retail sector at Norwich, Peterborough and Ardleigh branches and also a time in London doing interior Landscaping has given her a good grounding in horticulture knowledge of trees and shrubs. Married with two grown up children Susannah has been running her own business for the last 25 years, visiting gardens, solving  problems and giving advice.

Over the years she has done maintenance, landscaping and design for various developers and private owners, from church yards, community halls, small housing estates to all types and sizes of gardens.

Now the challenge is to set up the School of Gardening to help budding gardeners and those doing it as a job. The sessions cover subjects that Susannah has found is common problems or lacking in the knowledge of her customers.

Pruning is a popular workshop, encouraging people to think before they prune....

Conservation and environmental gardening is a subject that is an interest due to the recent public awareness. The Wildlife and Environmental workshop and over the Covid lockdowns has been a good time to study up on the subject and now able to relay information on how people can improve their gardens to help off set their carbon footprint.
