Cut the Lav.

Now is the time...or maybe if it's below freezing over Easter do it after....to cut back the lavender. Trimming them back just before the spring burst will invigorate the plant and create a bushy shrub with lots of shoots that will flower later. A feed of organic matter or granular eg. Gromore will also give them a bit of a boost and make them healthier. Make sure that anything else that has to grow a lot in the season is fed too eg. Roses, fuchsias, hydrangeas etc. It keeps the pest and disease down when plants are kept healthy. Empty your compost bins around your plants if the organic matter is ready to go, then its ready to fill again over spring and summer.

If you have dead headed in Autumn then just a light trim all over will be enough to get them going and stop too much woodiness occuring.
